What makes Telluride so special? For one, it’s situated in one of the most scenic areas imaginable in the San Juan mountains. The ski resort is one of the top rated in the U.S., with 2000 acres of terrain and uncrowded slopes. And the town of Tellu-ride, accessed via a free gondola from the Mountain Village, is a historic jewel. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964, the town has a great vibe, hosts world-class eateries, taverns, art galleries, shopping and charming clapboard homes. It is an unbeatable combination.
